"Father and partner", Leiria/Portugal

I was in this corridor for the first time, waiting for the arrival of the life of two big loves in our lives. Wishing for life to arrive. I was there as "father".
I was, some hours later, again in the same corridor waiting for the keeping of life of another love of my life. Wishing for life not to leave. I was there as "partner".
I know that sooner or later, and constantly, both life and death cross our lives. But it doesn't need to be in the manner of switching one for the other. Sharing life for all of those that we love, and having the chance to give and receive love from all, is a privilege. Halfway, there is a thin line between what is and what could have been. It is a line of suffering.
