"Geological scale", Ordesa/Pyrenees/Spain
I had been in these mountains near Ordesa National Park long enough ago. Last time, it had been in 2009. In 2002 before that, and around 1985 the first time. Every time, unforgettable.
This time I went with 3 friends, for a long walking circuit ("La Alta Ruta de Los Perdidos"), for several days. This was the last day, one of the longest.
Beauty, surprise, awe and great attention at security were almost permanent.
In this photograph, the whole Ordesa valley is visible, as well as the "Three sisters" peaks. I was close enough to the edge, to be safe.
